Rainbow

Violet, violet, an elegantly rocket, Like a warm and layered blanket. Indigo, indigo, a lightly blow, Of peace and calm and serene and snow. Blue, blue, so peacefully true, Like the sky, like the sea, like God’s own shoe. Green, green, a shade of no spleen, With the world looking so curious and keen. Orange, orange, a soft, smooth challenge, Surprisingly even without a single change. Yellow, yellow, a buttery fellow, A light and calm and softening mellow. Red, red, a fiercely fiery bed, A note of inspiration at its head. Thus is formed a rainbow, A heavenly arc, a ray of hope, A sweet swan, an audacity flow, A lovingly bow that beautifully glows.

Life

Image
Embedded with the bond of love And the piercing pain of loss. Filled with some life-changing luck Like a silver round coin’s toss. Going through the good and bad Journeying through joys and tears Filled with the times of bravery Or the haunting thoughts of fears Through moments spent with the loves ones And the thoughts running like a knife Is this tragic but yet amazing Journey we all call ‘life’.

The Lost Scouts - Part 5

Image
‘Is someone there!’ said a voice, who probably heard the gate opening. ‘Who’re you?’ asked Mike. ‘I am Pally and here’s my brother Kenton. We escaped the forests some time ago.’ she said as she and a boy came into sight. ‘I think I heard a voice...’ said a man. Then two more people came into eyesight; the shabby guy who had kidnapped John and the accomplice. ‘Gotta get ready for a fight!’ muttered John. ‘Look, look, who is here... the Kangaroo Scouts and Pally and Kenton!’ said one of the guys. ‘Daddy!’ shouted Pally and she hugged the accomplice. ‘So... you’re mixed up with those kidnappers’ muttered Mike. ‘What kidnappers! Dad and Henry aren’t kidnappers!’ shouted Kenton, enraged. ‘They help people in and out of the woods!’ ‘So that’s the cock-and-bull story you fed little Pally?’ asked Emily under her breath. ‘Wait, wait. We aren’t kidnappers. Don’t take up on our appearances either; I know we look evil, but we just sneaked off from Harris and Louis, The Evil T...

The Lost Scouts - Part 4

‘Here it is...’ Mr. Smith said. It was a big hotel with five floors and at least 50 rooms. As they entered, John had a creepy thought that the hotel looked like the ginormous old-fashioned mansions in horror movies. John and his team lived in Mr. Smith’s hotel for a three days and two nights with no news or unusual activity. But, on the third night, something rather unexpected happened.   John was sleeping in their room. It was past midnight, around three. Suddenly, he found Emily hitting him with a pillow in his head. Her face was paper-white and, her eyes looked wide open and her mouth was trembling with fear. It took no genius to say that she was panicking.   ‘What happened!?’ John said. He started realizing things; an alarming was blaring and screeching; everyone was tense. Then a vision popped into John’s mind. ‘There will be this screeching alarm that I would turn on if there’s a fire.’ he remembered Mr Smith saying. They hadn’t put much thought on it tha...

Poem Communication

Image
Hello guys it's Atreyo! And today I'm gonna attempt To express all of my feeling To be said in the form of a poem. So, today is now about to end With the clock ticking every second. Today was about a gloomy day Because it was Christmas's end. But no need to be so rather grumpy; I know this day was sad. But after all there cannot be Always joy and no bad! Anyways joy is not born From the festive Christmas day. But Christmas was born from the Joy of everyday So, stop being so gloomy And grim and so sad Here is a little holiday poem That might turn the day you've had! So, with no extra waiting Let us commence the reading: I woke up in the morning There was magic in the air. I hurriedly brushed my teeth And chanted the Morning Prayer! After I changed from my clothes, I decided to go to the dining hall. I went downstairs toward there Expecting it to be crowded with all. Yes, it was crowded in the morning. My grandparents and cousins had arrived. It was, after all, Christmas ...

The Lost Scouts - Part 3

He fell unconscious, but could sense someone dragging him by his two foot and two hands. He woke up with a start. There stood a toothless shabby guy with an evil-looking smile. He was in trouble. As he started to panic, he heard a LOUD call. ‘John! John!’ someone said. He half-expected to find himself in bed. But, no, this was the reality, not a dream. He heard the toothless guy say in a whisper ‘What do we do? Run?’ as the calls continued. ‘No. Drop him. We’ll get back to them later. I know where they’ll end up. I am sure of that.’ replied another person. It was then that John realized that there was another person, probably an accomplice. He felt himself being dropped in the ground. Someone came nearer. His vision became firmer, they were John’s team who were calling loudly to John. There was someone with them. That person looked helpful. ‘We were in the station when two guys came and hit you in the back. You were a little far away from us; they probably thought you were all ...

The Lost Scouts - Part 2

Image
As John entered the train with his Scout group, he thought that nothing could go wrong now. How very incorrect he was. In the train, the Scouts had a compartment for themselves. There were many rooms in the compartment, each with six beds, as there were six members in each scout group. Every room had the name of the group and the members in it written in a paper and stuck on the door. John found his group’s compartment. He read the paper: The Kangaroo Scout Group -   Mike (Captain) -   John -   Emily -   Peter -   Susan -   Edgar He gestured Edgar and his elder sister Emily to their compartment, where Mike was already helping Peter with his luggage. A minute later, Susan joined. ‘Hi!’ she said excitedly. Then a boy, who looked like about four years older than him, entered the room and gave something that looked like an oversized phone. ‘Sir Nick, our teacher-in-charge for this trip, invited the captain for each group to join us ...

The Lost Scouts - Part 1

Image
It was the first of April. John was packing his bag. Tomorrow is going to be a big day. Tomorrow, for the first time, he was going on a trip as a scout of his school to France for a month. This was going to be really amazing, because he had never travelled to foreign countries, and this was the first International Trip of the Scouts. John double checked his things; he did not want his big day ruined. Mom called for dinner. John went down – today was going to be his last dinner with his family for a month. His mother laid down the dinner. ‘Good luck for tomorrow’ she said. His elder brother, Jim, asked ‘Packed your bag right?’ ‘Yes,’ John replied, ‘You?’ ‘Yes!’ Jim replied. Since John would not be home, his parents and Jim would go on a trip too. The dinner was very tasty. After dinner, he went to sleep at 10:00. Tomorrow he’d have to get up early at 6. He had put up an alarm for 6 on his watch. ‘Wake up! Wake up!’ John heard someone shouting. ‘Whoa!’ He woke up wit...

Welcome Winter

Image
The winds are chilly, extremely cold More than you can try and hold. Curl up tight in your blanket, all! The season of winter has fall!  No more pleasant walk to the station. After all, winter’s gripping the nation.  No more drinking fizzy cold drinks! That is what winter brings!  But you still have things to do Like paying a visit to your local zoo. I know you might think it’s foolish Then go on a holiday to wherever you wish!  And the best thing to fight off winter’s hug Is warm brewed hot chocolate in a mug. Sweater, scarves, home-made jumpers Imagine winning them in a single hamper.  Ok, ok please don’t yell. I am coming to the best part to tell. After all, when Santa gifts Every child’s heart hopefully lifts. Fruitcake and homemade cookies! There’s so much to eat in the gentle breeze!  As, here comes the Festival King, ‘Jingle Bells!’ Let’s all sing!  Oh, someone please tell me:  Why isn’t there Christmas every week? Christmas trees (those de...

Nature's Call

Image
As vast as a forest, the sky lies above, With thin strips of cotton that look softer than hay. Rainwater dripping as smoothly as a paper While the showers of the mountains drop down their way. Freshwater lakes as blue as the skies, The large tanks of water – where the mountains like to lay. All this beauty sure is super-good, But thanks to humans, they'll be gone someday. Let us preserve what we currently have, Afforestation is the word, let's start TODAY! LET US PRESERVE WHAT WE HAVE TODAY. YESTERDAY HAS GONE AND TOMORROW HASN'T ARRIVED YET; TODAY IS THE BEST OPPURTINITY TO START AFFORESTATION.   -- Atreyo 😀,  30th September, 2020

A SURPRISE GIFT

Image
I came home from school. A number of papers were scattered everywhere. My family members are nowhere to be found. I find a note dangling on a hook stuck to my fridge. There was a phone number written on the note and said “CALL IMMEDIATELY (YEAH, IMMEDIATELY 😠).” I couldn’t recognize the number. It wasn’t of anyone I knew. But I knew that apart from me, only my parents and brother has the keys to the house. But I also knew that I’d have to take immediate action. After assuming my brother was playing a prank on me, I wrote beneath “Please don’t disrupt my routine. I have to go to the English Class.” He wasn’t really disrupting my routine. I had to reach the class half an hour later. However, as I finished writing, the note fell off to reveal another one. “I’m not your brother. And do not even dream of ignoring that note.” After mustering my common sense, I concluded that the note and the fact that my family was missing was linked somehow. I decided to call. The person received the call ...

Quarantine Life

Image
I am there in the home Looking out the window Towards my garden; That’s where I want to go. But nobody’s out there Under the warmth of the Sun. And sitting in the home Doesn’t seem like fun. What is popular nowadays? Not going in the dusk; Nor to visit a beach; It is to wear a fashionable mask.  I don’t know when to go out I can’t return the book he gave. Only a slogan I know now: “ Stay home; Stay safe.” -- Atreyo 😀,  22nd July, 2020

SANTA IS HERE!

Image
I looked up, I looked down. I looked at the door and then frowned. I asked my mom ‘Where is he?’ ‘Close your eyes and let me sleep.’ I looked at the chimney, at the door, at the wall. But my eyes could see none of the doll. ‘Where am I supposed to get it mom?’ But I could hear no response. Maybe she was asleep? Maybe she was thinking? Or maybe under the cover, she might be smiling. But no, she wasn’t smiling. Nor was she there She had gone to the other room, not even here. I turned, and tossed, and jerked all fear, After all, dear Santa is here! ‘Where is the doll? Where is the teddy?’ And I soon realized that all was ready. He said, ‘Ho ho ho!’ Dear little boy, now let me go. ‘OK’ I said, with a little sad smile, Because he has to travel a hundred mile. He left and then I heard a soft knock ‘Was Santa here, it’s twelve in the clock. Of course he was here! He left right now. And he gave me the doll, but tell me how, He knew that a teddy would give me a wow? ‘Maybe,’ she smiled 'H...
