Welcome Winter
The winds are chilly, extremely cold
More than you can try and hold.
Curl up tight in your blanket, all!
The season of winter has fall!
No more pleasant walk to the station.
After all, winterâs gripping the nation.
No more drinking fizzy cold drinks!
That is what winter brings!
But you still have things to do
Like paying a visit to your local zoo.
I know you might think itâs foolish
Then go on a holiday to wherever you wish!
And the best thing to fight off winterâs hug
Is warm brewed hot chocolate in a mug.
Sweater, scarves, home-made jumpers
Imagine winning them in a single hamper.
Ok, ok please donât yell.
I am coming to the best part to tell.
After all, when Santa gifts
Every childâs heart hopefully lifts.
Fruitcake and homemade cookies!
Thereâs so much to eat in the gentle breeze!
As, here comes the Festival King,
âJingle Bells!â Letâs all sing!
Oh, someone please tell me:
Why isnât there Christmas every week?
Christmas trees (those decorated pine ones) ,
Oh, thinking about it makes me dance!
After that we would welcome
A brand new year that is to come.
Send your friend a âNew Yearsâ card
After all, itâs not so hard.
Now our school will reopen,
Our hands will hold the pens.
And mutter the word ârevisionâ,
The enemy who is to be done.
After all, within some weeks,
Studies will reach their highest peak.
The time to test our one year knowledge;
The exams are already near the edge.
Do you remember the uses of charcoal?
Or what part of speech is the word âshoalâ.
If yes, then good, youâve done really nice.
If no, then the worst, youâve got to pay the price.
But, after exams, the work is done,
Stands ahead fun and fun.
But youâll have to wait till the next winter.
And relive the fun of 25th December.
20th November, 2020
